A new research article written by Jeff Gauhthier has been published in frontiers. It presents A. salmonicida subsp. salmonicida 890054 as a prototype strain for standardized furunculosis challenges with survival data. Computational analysis of sequencing results provided a complete circular genome with annotations of plasmids carrying virulence factors, antimicrobial resistance, and secondary metabolite coding genes.

A new research article by Sarah El Khoury, Jeff Gauthier, Sidki Bouslama and Bachar Cheaib has been published in microorganisms. Their findings confirm that exposure to clothianidin triggers a reshuffling of beneficial strains and/or potentially pathogenic taxa within the gut, suggesting a honeybee’s symbiotic defense systems’ disruption, such as resistance to microbial colonization.
