My expertise is centered in molecular and cellular biology. Since 2011, I apply it within the researches of Derome laboratory. My functions consist mainly in implementing the projects of Dr. Derome. More specifically, I make various manipulations connected with the various stages of research projects. I support the trainees and the graduates’ students in their works in the laboratory and on the field. I watch the smooth running of the laboratory equipment and the provisioning in consumable products. I am also in charge of the service of genomic analyses which offers to the beekeepers of Quebec a screening service of the domestic bees’ pathogens, which include mycetes Nosema apis and N. cerana, and also viruses such as the Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus (IAPV), Deformed Wing Virus (DWV), Black Queen Cell Virus (BQCV) and Acute Bee Paralysis Virus (ABPV)).
